Blijkbaar. Of Chirp, of SeaPunk, of PsyTrap, of TrapStep, of BroTrap. Instrumentale zielloze hippe hop komt het dichts in de buurt. Noem het wat je wil. Het idee is dat de bass je tieten laat wiebelen, en dat doet hij zeker.

Alt-J in de Melkweg, wat een genot. Na een verbluffende start met een a capella koor, kon mijn avond al niet meer stuk. Gelukzaligheid alom. En dan ook nog even een mashup van Still Dre en Kylie Minogue doen.

With a PhD in mathematics, Dan Snaith’s rhythm must not only be coming from his experience with previous engagements in Manitoba and Caribou, but also a feeling for complicated algorithms.

With his latest commitment as Daphni, he has been on an electronic tour even more so than the latest release “Swim” from Caribou. This is more for the early hours in the club, but that doesn’t make it less good!

There are not many things that cause true depression; having to leave a Radiohead concert is certainly one of them.
Not because what you’re thinking of, the “Creep”-ages are over. But because you want it to go on forever! Unfortunately, last night (October 14th) at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam it did stop, eventually, after 3 encores. Here is some footage of people in the crowd, don’t mind the screen, listen to the music.

Verrek, als we het dan toch over dat fietsclubje uit Bombay hebben (in de categorie fanboy), ze hebben een nieuw album!

Geheel in de stijl van het filmpje uit de vorige post, gaat het hier om een volledig akoestisch album van de Bombay Bicycle Club die de naam ‘Flaws’ draagt. Het klinkt allemaal lekker folksy en ik moet zeggen dat ik deze stap wel kan waarderen.

Music video regisseur David Tree maakt videos van bands die een akoestische versie van een liedje spelen ergens in London, of ze beweren in ieder geval dat het London is.
